Glass curtain wall is a widely used external wall system. The dominant position in the exterior wall of the curtain wall building is unshakable, and there have been many fine works.
Fluorocarbon coating is directly bonded to structural adhesive
Some structural sealant and fluorocarbon coating bonding is not up to the curtain wall requirements, so hidden frame glass curtain wall components between the secondary frame and the glass, between the fluorocarbon coating panel joint sealing measures should be taken to improve the adhesion. There are several options: (a) apply primer and then inject structural adhesive, but some experts believe that this method is not reliable and belongs to the "two-layer skin", and there are no convincing positive reports to prove that this method is effective, so further observation and research are needed; (b) composite profile structure is adopted, the directly bonded structural adhesive part is separated from the rest of the profile, and the directly bonded structural adhesive part is anodized; (c) During fluorocarbon spraying, the bonding part should be shielded to keep the surface anodized; (d) take remedial action by removing the coating of the surface to be bonded with sandpaper, etc., by natural oxidation(approximately 5um).
Self tapping pin connection
Tapping pin connection is a general connection or positioning connection, as a curtain wall structure connection, its reliability is poor.
Mix steel and aluminum profiles
The inner surface of square steel pipe is not easy to achieve shot peening treatment, and the quality problem is easy to occur during hot dip galvanizing, resulting in low corrosion resistance. The steel and aluminum matching gap should be relatively tight, otherwise the joint force cannot be achieved, causing difficulties to prevent the occurrence of bimetal electrochemical corrosion.
Short gland
Open frame curtain wall adopts gland bonding, on the one hand, it is easy to realize the isobaric cavity, on the other hand, it can be clamped with the buckle cover. The use of discontinuous gland (short gland), although can reduce the cost, but there will be uneven glass and other problems.
The connection pieces between the beam columns are connected by two points
Curtain wall beam often appears "deaf pull head" phenomenon, its reasons may be:
(1) Beam bearing capacity of modern curtain wall does not meet the requirements;
(2) the connection between the beam and the column is relatively weak, such as the connection between the beam column using two bolts, due to its poor torsional performance, resulting in torsion of the curtain wall beam.
