Don't let buildings become cages of fire
There is no absolutely safe glass, and there are certain risks with glass. The problem is rational use for maximum safety. Some documents define toughened glass and interlayer glass as safety glass, it is not proper actually. Monolithic tempered glass for glass beams, columns and floors is extremely dangerous.
Similarly, laminated glass can not hit through, do not fly, it is safe. But if used incorrectly, it can be very dangerous. In the super high-rise part of the curtain wall building, the fire can only rely on its own internal fire system, neither by external water irrigation, indoor personnel can not break the window to escape. In this case, all the curtain wall using laminated glass does not affect the fire safety, so it can be. But in the low-rise part and a large number of public buildings, some do not set up internal fire system, external rescue and broken window escape is an important means of survival; Even with internal fire protection, one more way to live could have saved more people.
